What’s a girl to do when her car needs oil and she doesn’t have a funnel, or a paper plate to make one? Take one of her many photo sleeves, rip off the little paper divider inside, tear open one side, and cut a small hole in the other corner. Voila! A funnel!

It’s so nice to live in just one place. The movers came Friday, we turned in our keys on Saturday, and I submitted my change-of-address stuff to the Post Office today. Movers were great, it was nice not to carry all of my stuff up and down stairs for once, and unpacking is ok. One [...]

On painting

We painted 4 rooms this weekend, the living room, the master and guest bedrooms, and the office, and they look freaking fabulous. What we learned from that:
Primer’s really good, especially for covering up a bold/ugly color and for proper paint adhesion
At least wipe off the walls with a damp sponge before painting, espcially the baseboards [...]
