Splitting

I learned how to split wood yesterday. (I was also largely unsuccessful at it, too.)

    July 6th, 2007 at 11:14 It is a splitting maul, which has a wide axe like side and sledge hammer style head on the other. The sledge hammer side is for when you need to use a wedge. We also have a wedge.

    We thought about renting a hydraulic wood splitter, but decided we need to maximize our usage of “stupid tree.” Not only will we burn it this winter, saving us money on our heating bill, but we also get a significant workout.
