I like to take the lyrics to "Little Liza Jane" (sung by Elizabeth Mitchell), and change the words so that the friends in the cities are about real friends I have that live geographically close-ish to those areas. So far, my edits are:
I’ve got a friend in Chicago, little Liza Jane
Spends lots of time in Indy, though, little Liza Jane (this one changes a lot, as WP is up to many things. Sometimes, "She makes the Space Shuttle go", or "Likes to go out, have some Bordeaux" or "She lives in some cold and snow")
I’ve got a friend near Cape Cod, little Liza Jane
She likes numbers: even and odd, little Liza Jane
I’ve got a friend near Tokyo, little Liza Jane
Has three kids, and wife Miho, little Liza Jane
And now, with friend AB moving to Baltimore, I’ve got another verse to change! Goal: to make Lena think I’m making up a song, until we actually go visit all these people, sort of like the ending to Big Fish, but without the funeral part.
